Jet Boating

Around fifty years ago Bill Hamilton a legendary south Island farmer had a dream. He owned a property that was criss crossed by shallow braided rivers and he had a need to navigate them. So with good old kiwi inguinity he invented a new concept in boating. He devised a way of sucking up water underneath the boat and forcing it out through the stern - the Jet Boat was born. Because of the abscence of a propeller the highly manoeuvrable jet boat is able to ride on water as little as ten centimetres deep, this makes for a breath taking ride.

These days there many options for jet boating all offering something a little bit unique. Some companies even provide a combination of jet boating and kyaking. Although jet boating is available in many areas of New Zealand Queenstown has got to be one of the Premier locations, don't miss it while your here.
